England flag makeup ideas for the World Cup semi-final match

The flag is hoisted outside your house, you have your kit, so what’s missing? It’s time to get your makeup done in time for the game.

If you want to show your support for England against Croatia in the World Cup, what better way to do it than by wearing your team’s colors?

But how do you get it right?

Make sure you get some decent face paints first – there are a few online, but it can be a bit late for that (unless you’re aiming for the finale!) – there are also kits in supermarkets that work just as well or you can mix your own mixes.

The final result

For the English flag, cover your face with a layer of white makeup. Let it dry a bit before using a suitable brush – make sure it’s the right width so you can do it in one pass. Then cover it with red face paint and draw a line from the middle of your forehead, down the hairline, to the nose, then to the chin. Do the same from ear to ear. Avoid your eyes!

Another idea is to try a lion – we are three Lions after all! For this one, follow the video above as it’s a bit more complicated. You will need yellow, orange, black and brown face paints.

It’s a little more complicated, but it looks great.

You can still do the two together, as the video shows.

There’s plenty of time to try before the game which kicks off today at 7pm BST on ITV.
